LBS Round 3: Siquirres are defeated by Heredia- October 4, 2020

Heredia - Siquirres 77-71 The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Siquirres (1-1) on the court of Heredia on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Heredia 77-71. Heredia outrebounded Siquirres 74-57 including 26 on the offensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Siquirres helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Panamanian Amir Alvarado (198-84, college: Marshalltown) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds. Alexander Castro (-2) helped adding 6 points and 15 rebounds. Heredia's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Christopher Calderon (-89) with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Andric Barrera scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Heredia is looking forward to face Escazu in San Jose in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Siquirres will play at home against ARBA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
